One Saturday Night... make that Sunday...

The perfectly planned evening of quality roommate togetherness was abruptly thwarted by, well, we don't really know whether the work schedule was mysteriously changed, or Ar simply failed to note that she worked til 10pm, not 5pm. So, a quick dinner at Freebirds was the remedy. There we carefully crafted the enduring emblem of our establishment. Look for the silver foil dove perched under the peace sign.

A midnight soccer game was a great way to start off Sunday morning. However, the ever-changing nail polish color scheme is really keeping Ar on her toes. The nine blue toenails are no longer a match for the smashed one.

Later on in the day, after church, La discovered our furry friend, Emi, had locked herself in the master bedroom. And there is no key. "Did you mean to lock her in?" La called to ask El, who was across town dining on a warm bowl of Vietnamese tendonitis. Good thing La can pick a lock like a 5-year old picks his nose!

El was just now challenged to one hour of ignoring Emi. Which she has successfully completed, if you don't count the redirected comments that sounded meant for a dog ...but she insists were for her roommates. We passed the time during this intense countdown by challenging ourselves to beat our record at catch phrase... nine is the number we now shoot for!

The next item on the agenda for the day is: Update the blog. check.

This is my first official post and I've been getting some slack for not participating in the blogging world. So we'll see how long it takes the other two to notice : )

I am going to dedicate this to the new person in my life - Emi. She is my eight month old cockapoo.

She's soft and cuddly

But not very ladylike

Sometimes vicious

But always good with the elderly

And a good pillow

This is a big day at the little house. El is up at 10:55pm which is approximately 55 minutes past her very strict bed time. It is a miracle Monday.

We taught our furry housemate a new trick and it's very exciting... stay posted to see pics of her in all of her glory.

Today I (La) learned that Australia uses plastic money. Who knew?! Well, I didn't! Apparently it's made of a "non-porous polymer with a specially developed protective coating so the notes stay cleaner and don't absorb moisture." The coolest part is that the major security measure is a clear plastic window... how cool is that?! Ohh yeah and when it wears out they recycle it into compost bins and plumbing fittings. Way to go Austrailia... leading the way in the green revolution... they recycle money.

Ar is very unusual. This is not out of the ordinary. She has a blue toe and yesterday she claimed that it was in effort to coordinate with her blue tank top. She lied.

Waffle you doing this morning for breakfast?

Today we made waffles. Today we breakfasted like kings and queens, well really just like queens, well really just like normal every day people. Anyway, Ar made the most delicious and fluffy waffles (with blueberries picked by her own hand) that we have ever tasted.

And so it begins...

Today we will change the course of history. Today we will give the world a glimpse into the secret lives of the Three Fair Maidens on the Wings of a Dove. Today we created a blog.

We will share our joys and tears, our triumphs and failures and the global audience will laugh and cry with us.

A Brief Synopsis:

We formed a housing alliance a year ago and this blog commemorates the anniversary of this magical arrangement.

Tetris holds a sacred place in our hearts. We spend hours manipulating blocks and trash talking. Somehow we always come through the battle stronger and closer than when we began.

We share our house with a small hairy creature with beautiful eyelashes, who likes to dance, sniff the floorboards and play innocent. She's hyper at bedtime and has a fascination with feet. We call her Emi ("smile" in Japanese).

We host celebrations like Festifall, New Years Extravaganza, Superbowl, Birthday Parties and more. Next on the agenda is a "Pick Your Nose Party."

Late night chats in the hallway, Dinners shared together, Movie Nights and adventuresome outings are some of the special ways that we maintain this beautiful bond of friendship.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. We cannot predict the future, but we will walk it hand in hand.
